Falmouth Harbour
Falmouth Harbour
Although never part of my original plan I was really looking forward to seeing my folks who had driven down to Falmouth for the week. When I finally spoke to them on the phone they were upon the hill by the harbour, trying to spot Voyager! The tender could only hold three people so it took two trips to get us ashore. We got as far as the first pub and spent the rest of the day in there, catching up with Mum and Dad over a pub lunch and local ale. Typically Dad insisted on buying everyone dinner!

Arranging to see them again tomorrow they left us to get on with some hardcore drinking and we made ourselves comfortable around the pool table, though I had some problems with my sea legs which became more accentuated the more I drank! Michelle and I went for a drunken shop around Tesco for breakfast tomorrow as I’d stupidly agreed to cook her a farewell breakfast, in part to make up for all the cooking and cups of tea she had made for us whilst at sea.

Leo left us, with a mission of a journey to get back to Amsterdam, and eventually Michelle, Tim, skipper and myself had to get back to the boat. Jason had taken advantage of the second night in the hotel with Tammy. What we hadn’t kept an eye on was the increase in wind, making the journey back to the boat a very wet one!
