Next day we took at real easy sail just a few miles up the coast and dropped anchor at English Harbour. This inlet has been described as the Italian Lakes or Scottish Lochs. It certainly doesn't look like the Med! Despite the large number of yachts and gullets at anchor there is enough space to go round and the two restaurants there accommodate everyone easily enough. Tim and I gorged ourselves on the mezzes and befriended the most beautiful white kitten. A few weeks later when I returned to this restaurant they informed me that the kitten went missing. They think he was taken by a visiting gullet. Apparently this happens all the time in this area but then cats and dogs are so feral in these parts one is almost doing them a favour by taking them away. Providing you're giving them a home and not cooking them up for breakfast.
