River Dart Welcomes Us With Open Arms

Strange, isn’t it? We spend all that time in Portugal, Spain and France and the weather was not being very nice to us, then as we enter the English Channel the sun comes out and we’re spending out last days on the boat in glorious weather! As Lee scrabbles to complete his sextant readings we approach the River Dart and head into Dartmouth, one of the most beautiful entrances to a port I’ve yet to experience. Poetic.

After refuelling we find a spot on a visitor’s pontoon and jump off Mayfly for the last time. We tidy up and give it a good clean (all part of the service from Professional Yacht Deliveries), leaving it sparkling and glistening ready for Peter to entertain his friends on his new toy. And what a toy it is. A beautiful, solidly built Swedish craft. Let’s just hope he makes good use of it.

As for the fishing. Yeah, well, obviously I picked up some dud equipment whilst in Portugal.
